The City of Dallas EMS System provides Advanced Life Support Services 24 hours a day. The system is designed to provide critical care on scene as well as providing critical care inter-facility transfers.

The EMS system is a community-based volunteer, career and EMT training program managed by the Fire Department Administrative Team. This program allows community members to participate as a medical provider with the medical services. Or gain experience and become marketable and compete for full-time positions.
