If you are; 18 years old, have a High School diploma or GED, live within the City of Dallas or urban growth boundary, have a valid Oregon drivers license, can pass a criminal background check, can score fair or better on the Department Fitness Standard, and are willing to serve your community, the City of Dallas Fire Department has a place for you on our team. The City of Dallas Fire Department has several different Suppression to volunteer, they include: Suppression Fire Fighter, Support Services, and Special Services. Applications are accepted any time, basic academies for Suppression Fire Fighters and Support Services begin in January and July of each year.
